Music and Live Performance

At the moment I am planning on releasing a free downloadable ep of some of my new acoustic tracks I’m hoping to have this ready in time for my gig at the Picturehouse on the 29th July. In the meantime you might like to take a listen to the latest All Living Fear recording that is also the first to feature yours truly as lead vocalist.

All Living Fear

The band that I’m probably best known for. Started in 1992 with my friend Steven Howson initially just for our own enjoyment, by the time Andrew Racher joined in 1994 things got a bit more serious with the release for our first CD EP Jessica and subsequently we released the albums The Widow’s Blame and Minimum Resistance before Andrew left in 1997. Paul Roe joined in 98 and we made another album Into The Light before we folded the band in 2000. By 2003 the band was back together Paul was now the Bass guitarist and Andrew re joined on vocals and we made our best album Home too Soon and played our biggest ever show performing to around 2000 people supporting the Mission’s Wayne Hussey at the Whitby Festival. 2007 was the bands 15th anniversary and we released the album Fifteen Years After this double CD featured many friends and people we were fans on appearing including Arthur Brown, Julianne Regan, Steve Bronski and Christian Riou. To finish off the project we performed a big concert that was professionally filmed and released on DVD in Mid 2009.

In mid 2009 after a big show at the Islington Academy in London Andrew left the band again and I put together a new line up having also taken on the roll of vocalist as well as playing guitar along with Niall Parker on Bass, Steve Williams on Guitar and Nevla on Guitar.

Corrosion

When I and Paul Roe decided to abandon All Living Fear in favour of something new, Corrosion was born. Initially we performed more electronic backed rock music, and evolved in experimenting with our sound. We released an album N-Y-A-G-A in 2004 to positive reviews and played a good number of shows. Later on we started performing more acoustic music, and as a result started a spin off band called The North Roed. Thought these days we still perform as Corrosion and do a mixture of Acoustic and Electronic music in the band.

Department Factory

In 2006 we were offered a life show in Winchester , neither band was available to perform so I did the show on my own under the name of Department Factory.  I had for a long time wanted to make some electronic and instrumental music, I recorded some material under the Department Factory name using mostly analogue synthesizers and acoustic guitars. This performance was totally live playing Bass, Guitar and Synthesizer with a loop pedal. I have played a couple of shows since and I plan to do more at some point.
